Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) homeownership programs affected by the current federal government shutdown

Below are highlights of the various Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) homeownership programs affected by the current federal government shutdown.  Stay tuned to KHC eGrams for future updates as circumstances change.

Verbal Verification prior to closing on federal employees:  If the borrower is a federal employee, KHC must have a verbal verification of their employment prior to closing.  This may cause delays in loan closings and interest rate locks expiring, depending on how long the government is shut down.

IRS Tax Transcripts:  KHC requires one year's tax transcripts prior to closing on all conventional loans.  This will remain in effect for now.
Fannie Mae made recent announcement concerning the government shutdown.
