Effective date: October 1, 2026

The short version

  • I only collect the information you choose to send me, plus basic visitor statistics.
  • I use it to answer your questions and help you with a Kentucky mortgage. That is all.
  • I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with other companies for their marketing.
  • Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or documents through a website form. I will give you a secure way to do that when it is needed.

This website is run by Joel Lobb, Mortgage Loan Officer (NMLS #57916) with EVO Mortgage (Company NMLS #1738461). In this policy, "I," "me," and "my" mean Joel Lobb. This policy explains what information is collected when you use my websites, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Websites this policy covers

This policy applies to mylouisvillekentuckymortgage.com and to my other Kentucky mortgage websites that link to it, including:

  • kentuckymortgageblog.com
  • kentuckyusdaloan.com
  • kentuckyfhaloan.com
  • kentuckyfirsttimehomebuyer.com
  • my related Kentucky mortgage blogs hosted on blogspot.com

Information I collect

Information you give me

When you fill out a pre-qualification or contact form, or when you call, text, or email me, I receive what you choose to provide. Depending on the form, that can include:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • The type of loan you are interested in, and whether you are buying or refinancing
  • An estimated purchase price, estimated credit score range, and gross annual income
  • Your employment status, whether you are a first-time homebuyer, and your buying timeline
  • Any questions or comments you type in

The numbers you enter on a website form are your own estimates. Submitting a form is not an application for credit, and I do not pull your credit from a website form.

If you leave a public comment on a blog post, the comment and the name you post it under are visible to other visitors.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, my sites collect basic technical information when you visit, such as the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, your general location (city or region), your browser and device type, and your IP address. This is collected through cookies and similar tools described in the Cookies and analytics section.

Information I do not ask for on these websites

My website forms do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, bank account numbers, or copies of documents. Please do not put that information in a form, a comment, or a regular email. When documents are needed, I will send you a secure way to provide them.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your questions and requests
  • To review your situation and explain which Kentucky loan programs may fit
  • To follow up with you by phone, text, or email about your request
  • To send occasional mortgage updates to past clients and contacts, which you can stop at any time
  • To understand which pages are useful so I can improve the sites
  • To protect the sites from spam and misuse, and to meet legal and licensing requirements

Calls, texts, and email

When you submit a form with your phone number or email address, you are asking me to contact you about mortgage options, and you authorize me to do so by call, text, and email.

  • Agreeing to be contacted is not a condition of getting a loan or any other service.
  • Message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask me to stop calling or emailing at any time.
  • Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are not sold, and are not shared with other companies for their marketing.

How information is shared

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with other companies so they can market to you. Information is shared only in these situations:

  • Service providers that run the websites. These companies process information on my behalf: Google (Blogger website hosting, Google Analytics, YouTube video embeds, and Gmail), WordPress.com / Automattic (hosting and site statistics for my WordPress sites), and Formspree (which delivers form submissions to me).
  • Your loan. If you decide to move forward, your information is shared with EVO Mortgage and with the parties needed to process, underwrite, and close your loan. See the next section.
  • Legal reasons. When required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request, or when needed to prevent fraud or protect someone's safety.

Loan applications and EVO Mortgage

These websites are informational. A formal mortgage application is not taken here. If you choose to apply, your application is taken through EVO Mortgage's secure systems, and the personal and financial information you provide in that process is governed by EVO Mortgage's own privacy notice, which you will receive as part of the application, as federal law requires.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. My sites use them in these ways:

  • Google Analytics measures visits and which pages are read, and records when a form is submitted. It does not tell me who you are.
  • Blogger and WordPress.com, the platforms that host my sites, set their own cookies to operate the sites and count visits.
  • YouTube videos embedded on some pages may set cookies when you play them.
  • Advertising measurement. I sometimes advertise on Google and YouTube. If you reach a site from one of those ads, the ad platform may use cookies to measure whether the ad led to a visit or a form submission.

These sites do not currently display third-party advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the sites will still work. To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Security and retention

My sites are served over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and form submissions are transmitted securely. No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, which is why I ask you not to send sensitive numbers or documents through a website form.

I keep inquiry information for as long as it is needed to help you and to meet legal, licensing, and record-keeping requirements, and then delete it.

Your choices

  • See, correct, or delete your information. Contact me and I will tell you what I have from your website inquiry, correct it, or delete it, unless I am required by law to keep it.
  • Stop messages. Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email newsletter, or simply tell me to stop.
  • Limit tracking. Use your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on described above.

Children

These websites are intended for adults who are looking for mortgage information. They are not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

My sites link to other websites, such as HUD, VA, USDA, the Kentucky Housing Corporation, and NMLS Consumer Access. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for their content or practices.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Accessibility

I want these websites to be usable by everyone, and I work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA. If you have difficulty using any page, please call or email me with the page address and a description of the problem, and I will get you the information another way.
