Home Sales and Prices UP in Metro Area

LOUISVILLE, Ky -- When it comes to home sales in the Louisville metro market its a buyers and sellers market. The average home price in the three county area is up 4.1% and the number of homes sold is up 18-percent from September 2012. In addition the number of home listings is up more than 16-percent from a year ago.

The Greater Louisville Association of Realtors says the good news for buyers is that interest rates remain low and there is plenty of inventory for them to consider. GLAR says this bodes well for home sales as fall continues.
